Yarn Wreath

1 Aug

White yarn wreath with turquoise and silver applique.

If you’re on Pinterest, than you have seen many yarn wreaths! This one in particular was what started my huge interest in the craft. I made this white one which was the second of three wreaths I made. The first was a gift and I forgot to take pictures, doh! These are a lot of fun to make and can add great colors to any room or doors!

Supplies:

Straw Wreath – any size
Yarn of desired color – (for a medium wreath, I used one skein…)
Applique
Hot Glue Gun

Directions:

I would like to first say, keep the plastic wrapping on the straw wreath or you’ll have a huge mess! Then, start wrapping! Take the yarn and glue down the end to keep it in place, once it’s stuck and dry start wrapping around the entire wreath. Use as much as you want and don’t worry about it being perfect! The little flaws make it totally awesome đŸ™‚ Once it’s wrapped, apply the decorations as you see fit, hang up and enjoy it!

These make great gifts and can be seasonal! You can easily make one wreath and make the applique interchangeable per season đŸ™‚ Whatever you want, just do it!
